No. Our service uses Turnitin's API in "no repository" mode. Your submitted paper is checked for similarity and AI writing, but it is NOT stored in Turnitin's database. This means it will not appear as a match in future checks for you or other students.

Turnitin's AI writing detection requires a minimum of 300 words of prose content to generate a reliable score. If your document is under 300 words, contains mostly non-prose content (code, equations, lists), or is in an unsupported language, the AI report will not be generated. The similarity (plagiarism) report will still process normally.

The Similarity Report highlights text that matches sources in Turnitin's database (websites, journals, student papers) and shows a percentage score. The AI Report estimates the percentage of text that may have been generated by AI writing tools. They are separate analyses: a document can have low similarity but high AI score, or vice versa.

Turnitin's AI indicator is a probabilistic estimate, not a definitive judgment. It is designed to flag patterns consistent with AI-generated text, but false positives can occur with highly polished writing, heavy paraphrasing, or non-native English phrasing. Always review highlighted sections manually before drawing conclusions.

Turnitin matches text strings, not intent. Properly quoted material, common phrases, bibliography entries, or template text (like assignment instructions) can still register as matches. Most institutions exclude references and quotes when reviewing reports. You can filter these out in the full Turnitin viewer if your institution provides access.

Yes. Each submission uses 1 credit and generates both the Similarity Report and the AI Writing Report (if eligible). Both reports are available for download immediately upon completion. You do not need to pay separately for each report type.

Most reports are ready within 10 - 30 minutes. Complex documents, high server load, or files requiring OCR (scanned PDFs) may take longer. You'll receive an on-screen notification and can refresh your dashboard to check status. Reports are never delayed intentionally.

We accept PDF (.pdf) and Microsoft Word (.docx) files. For best results: use editable text (not scanned images), keep files under 50MB, and ensure the document contains at least 300 words for AI analysis. Password-protected or corrupted files will fail to process.

If processing fails, your credit is automatically refunded. Common causes: unsupported file format, corrupted file, or content under 300 words for AI analysis. Try re-uploading a clean copy. If issues persist, contact support with your document ID for assistance.

Yes. We treat all submissions as confidential. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, processed only for report generation, and automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days. Download your reports promptly for long-term storage. We never share, sell, or reuse your content.
